My latest project had me diving into the world of Zencart Templates. Year ago I was told that they are very limited in terms of customization, so I was surprised that I could really change anything. It sometimes meant digging through layers and layers of code and tons of language files – but in the end, the layout matched the rest of the website perfectly and worked just the way it was meant to be.
Zencart was a bit of an overkill for that project since it was only meant to sell two items without categories or anything, but I’ve yet to find a better free e-commerce software so – ZenCart was the backend of choice.
